Community spirited operator required to drive food and function trade.
Bolton upon Dearne is a small village in the Metropolitan Borough of Barnsley, South Yorkshire, in the part of the Dearne Valley through which the River Dearne passes. It is approximately 7 miles east of Barnsley, 10 miles west of Doncaster and 8 miles north of Rotherham.
The Angel is an imposing roadside site in the heart of the village. There is one main room served by a single bar as well as a pool/games area. The site also has a currently unused catering kitchen, though there is potential for this to be brought back in to use. The Angel also has a large function room which could easily host family events such as birthday parties, receptions and christenings.
Externally there is a large beer garden and extensive parking facilities.
The Angel is a true community local with the potential to become the hub of the neighbourhood. Currently it is wet led however with a catering kitchen already in place it is crying out for a great value pub menu to be established. 2-4-1 meal deals, lunchtime specials and traditional Sunday Roasts would all go a long way to growing trade at this site.
This site would suit either an experienced operator or someone new to the trade. Most important is that they have the drive and vision to develop the food and function trade at the pub as well developing the pubs place in the community. With that in mind knowledge of the area, although not essential, would be advantageous.
This consists of three bedrooms, a kitchen and bathroom.
