We have been working with Find My Pub for several years as a business for marketing our sites and for corresponding to our applicants at an initial stage, before passing over applicants to our own in-house recruitment team.

In January 2016 we outsourced all of our initial applicant management to include conducting a vetting process on applicants to gather more information on the potential publican. Including background, experience, etc in order to gain a full application and to provide us with high quality, vetted, ready to go potential publicans.

The initial trial went very well and we quickly rolled it out across all our divisions and this has resulted in our in-house recruitment team gaining approx 25% additional time in a week to develop marketing, work on other projects and deliver a better candidate experience.

The team at FindMyPub, are always on hand to answer any questions we have about applicants and will communicate with us constantly to ensure they know and understand what type of publican we require for our pubs and we have regular updates with our Account Manager Kim and Team Leader Kieran.

I chair a volunteer group who were trying to save our village pub, The Royal Oak in Great Wishford, Wiltshire. The freeholder had had no success in finding a new landlord and his proposed lease terms meant we couldn’t take it on as a community venture.

When we publicised our efforts, we had extensive media coverage which led to many offers of advice and help. One expert mentioned FindMyPub.com. When I contacted the site, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and we chose to promote the pub with the site.

The results were beyond our wildest expectations – over a dozen serious enquirers came forward. We chose to support one particular couple who have now signed an 11-year lease with the freeholder. The couple are now going flat out and completely renovating The Royal Oak with substantial financial support from the village and, so far, over 400 hours of free labour.
