The White Lion has previously had a strong reputation as a destination pub for the area, and the appetite is there for it to return to its previous high standards and experience.

Ideal candidates:

• Couple with kitchen experience.
• Confident with food and passionate about genuine hospitality
• Needs to be a personality, warm welcome to those passing through, rebuilding rapport with locals after changes
• Need to know the area, but doesn’t have to be from the area.
• Experience in a destination pub would be desirable.

A great opportunity to take on a pub with bags of potential as the landlords look for a creative operator to return the White Lion to its previous spot as THE destination pub in the area. You’ll be a food enthusiast able to deliver exceptional service and create both reasons to visit for those passing through, and even more reasons to return when they do!

You’ll be an enthusiastic operator who feels comfortable front and centre, touching tables as well as driving food quality in the generous kitchen space. You will not only be popular with locals but also be able to draw guests from beyond. Your focus will be on delivering 5-star quality service and ratings.

The pub needs a savvy marketer, maximising social media channels to reach a new audience. You’ll ensure that you are the go-to venue for local families across the weekend (and the odd school night treat), midweek lunchtime diners, and of course groups meeting for a cracking Sunday Roast. The pub also needs an operator who knows what online guests look for when making bookings and builds strong TripAdvisor, Google, and Facebook scores.

The Management Partnership offers a unique opportunity to run your own pub business, with affordable in-goings and the freedom to lead your own team, manage your business within a framework, and support from the landlords in a proven partnership model.

You’ll receive an uncapped share of top‑line turnover, giving you the flexibility to pay yourself and your team in a way that works for your business. Your own Ltd Company will provide the day‑to‑day management of the pub, retain full ownership of the team and operational decisions, whilst managing associated costs such as wages and minor repairs. Alongside this, you’ll benefit from extensive operational support, including marketing and recruitment within a framework designed to help your business thrive.

Accommodation on site comprises three bedrooms and a separate kitchen, bathroom and lounge.
