The Diggle Hotel is a traditional country pub and hotel set in the village of Diggle, on the edge of the Peak District, with stunning countryside views, canal walks, and a stone's throw from the Pennine Bridle Way.
Internally, the pub has a small, well-laid-out bar that serves the three lounge/dining areas, which are all cosy all year round but even more so in the winter months when the woodburning stove is lit. There is a well-equipped good good-sized catering kitchen to support a good home-cooked menu.
The pub also benefits from having four recently refurbished letting rooms, each with its own theme, and is really popular with both walkers and visitors to the area.
Externally, there is a good-sized decking area that doubles the size of of pub in the warmer months and is also used to host local events and bands. The pub also has a car park.
The Diggle Hotel caters for locals and tourists alike and offers a wide choice of premium beers, local cask ales, and a good selection of wines and spirits. All of these complement the good, hearty home-cooked food offering that uses locally sourced produce and is served daily. The pub also offers live sport, regular entertainment, quizzes & karaoke, so something for everyone.
They intend to support the successful applicant by improving the letting room bathrooms.
Examples of some of the projects they undertake in the pub estate can be found in the Investing in Your Pub Brochure here. A more detailed specification of the intended works for this specific pub will be provided to interested parties during the application process.
The aim is to undertake the works at the expense as soon as practicably possible once the tenancy has commenced.
