A Natural People-Person

You thrive on building relationships, love being the face of your business, and know how to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere that keeps customers coming back. Whether it’s remembering a regular’s favourite drink or organising a charity quiz night, you understand the power of a personal touch.

Business-Minded with a Strategic Eye

You’re not just passionate about pubs,  you’re commercially savvy. You know how to balance great customer experience with smart stock control, cost management, and local marketing. You can spot opportunities,  especially in the underused function room, and aren’t afraid to turn potential into profit.

Hospitality Experience (But Not Necessarily Pub-Specific)

Whether you’ve run a bar, managed a restaurant, or operated within retail or events, you’ll bring transferable skills that help you lead a team, deliver great service, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Hands-On and Hard-Working

You lead from the front, set the standard for your team, and aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves,  whether it’s pulling pints, sorting out the rota, or promoting a weekend event.

Connected to the Local Area (or Keen to Be)

You’ll have your ear to the ground, get involved in the community, and make The Chesters a true local hub,  from sponsoring a local football team to hosting family celebrations in the function space.
