Property details
The Holden Arms is a beautifully appointed rural pub situated on the outskirts of Haslingden, roughly 20 miles north of Manchester and 10 miles southeast and south-west of Blackburn and Burnley respectively. This large historic pub has been at the centre of the Holden Wood community for over a hundred years and served as the watering hole for the navvies who dug the nearby Odgen Reservoir in the early 1900s. It is now a thriving and popular pub, well known for its fantastic food offer, sumptuous Sunday roasts, and mid-week specials. Readily known as the go-to place in the area for great food and a fantastic selection of drinks, the pub is growing from strength to strength. Situated on the main road in a reasonably affluent area it attracts customers from surrounding villages as well as the towns of Haslingden, Bury, and Darwen.
The Holden Arms trading area is open plan, split across two-floor levels, supplied by the large and well-stocked bar to the rear of the pub which again is split across the two-floor levels. Whilst it’s open plan, there are still plenty of cosy corners and a mix of smaller and larger tables allowing the pub to cater for bigger family gatherings as well as date nights and smaller groups. The pub can also cater for functions such as funerals, christenings, and birthday parties as the lower floor level can be cordoned off if required. There is a large catering kitchen situated at the back of the pub and provides all the equipment and space required to provide a quality substantial food offer.
To the left of the pub, there is a small covered patio area with tables and chairs; a beautiful spot to while away the hours in the Summer sun.
The private accommodation is extensive, consisting of three large bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, and a bathroom.
