Property details
The Old Sergeant is a compact pub packed with character. You’ll find it on Garratt Lane, which in the 18th and 19th centuries was an exit road to the south. John Nash held the licence in 1785 when the pub had the same name. Later, Henry Young purchased it in 1857 when it became tied to Young’s Brewery. Locals and visitors to the area have loved this historic pub for many years.
Downstairs, you’ll find the Dug Out, a dedicated sports area for viewing live sports, which you can hire out. The kitchen is on the same level, and the gantry opens into the main bar.
Upstairs, you’ll discover the recently refurbished function room where you can host wedding receptions, murder mystery evenings, christenings, birthday parties, or groups of people who just want to relax and watch a bit of sport. The pool table upstairs provides the potential for additional income with Pool teams.
The private accommodation consists of three bedrooms, a kitchen, and a lounge.
