The Lord Raglan enjoys a strong base of regular customers, with a steady flow starting from its 11 am opening and a boost in the evening as locals drop in after work. With SKY Sports and TNT Sports, the pub is a weekend hotspot, drawing crowds for Bolton matches, Premier League action, and live horse racing. Adding to the lively atmosphere, a resident DJ takes over on Saturday nights, and live music performances are hosted once a month.
The BDM is on the lookout for an experienced community and sports-obsessed operator with experience running a similar venue, preferably someone from the area or who has run pubs in the area before. Applicants must have the right sales focused ideas to maximise sales on an evening and weekend whilst ensuring customers are served in a safe environment. You will need to plan and execute weekly entertainment such as quiz nights, bingo, karaoke, and live music, and ensure a return is made on your weekly entertainment allowance. The ideal applicant will be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the local marketplace, as well as being community focused with a good knowledge of sports.
