They are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic operator to manage The Spitfire Pub, a beloved local establishment in Ainsdale, Southport. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, a flair for community engagement, and a talent for creating a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere. As the operator, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the pub’s operations, ensuring that it remains a cherished hub for locals and visitors alike.
Responsibilities:
• Daily Operations Management: Ensure smooth and efficient running of the pub, including overseeing staff, maintaining inventory, and ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
• Customer Service: Foster a warm and inviting atmosphere where patrons feel welcome. Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Community Engagement: Build and maintain positive relationships with the local community. Organize and promote events that resonate with the local audience, such as quiz nights, live music, and sports viewings.
• Staff Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage a team of friendly and professional staff. Foster a positive work environment and ensure staff are motivated and well-prepared to deliver excellent service.
• Menu Management: Oversee the drinks and food menu, ensuring a diverse and appealing selection that caters to the tastes of the pub’s clientele. Work with suppliers to ensure quality and affordability.
• Financial Oversight: Manage the pub’s budget, including monitoring expenses, optimizing profits, and maintaining financial records.
• Marketing and Promotion: Utilise social media and other marketing channels to promote the pub’s events, special offers, and unique features. Engage with customers online to build a strong digital presence.
Requirements:
• Experience: Proven experience in managing or operating a pub, bar, or similar hospitality venue.
• Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Customer Focus: Excellent customer service skills and a genuine passion for creating enjoyable experiences for patrons.
